How The Three Phases Of Our Bariatric Surgery Program Works?

At CER Bariatrics, we’ve meticulously designed a three-phase bariatric surgery program to ensure comprehensive care and optimal results. Beginning with the foundational ‘Bariatric Surgery’, we then progress to the sculpting ‘Body Lift’ phase, and conclude with the ‘Revision Surgery’ phase for any necessary refinements. This structured approach guarantees a holistic transformation tailored to each patient’s unique journey.

Phase 1: Bariatric Surgery: Go back to healthy living!

Overview

Bariatric surgery is a specialized procedure tailored for individuals battling obesity. It’s more than just a weight loss surgery; it’s a commitment to a healthier lifestyle. The specific technique employed varies based on individual health profiles and the expert recommendation of our seasoned surgical team.

What to Expect

The surgery duration is typically between 2 to 4 hours, depending on the complexity. Once completed, patients are transitioned to a dedicated recovery suite. Here, our skilled nursing team closely monitors post-operative vitals and ensures optimal comfort.

Why It’s Important

Bariatric surgery serves as a pivotal step towards reclaiming one’s health. It not only facilitates significant weight loss but also aids in mitigating obesity-related health risks. While transformative, it’s essential to understand the surgical intricacies and potential risks.

Tips for Success

Post-surgery, your journey towards a healthier self continues. Here are some guidelines to enhance your recovery and results:

  • Adhere strictly to post-operative dietary and medication guidelines.
  • Prioritize rest; your body needs time to heal and adapt.
  • Engage in gradual physical activity as recommended by your physician.
  • Lean on your support system; share your journey with friends and family.
  • Stay connected with your medical team for regular check-ups and guidance.
Phase 2 Body Lift: Remove excess skin and sculpt your body

Overview

A Body Lift is a transformative plastic surgery procedure tailored for individuals who have undergone significant weight loss. It addresses the challenges of excess skin and residual fat, ensuring the body’s contours align with the weight loss achieved. Typically, this procedure is recommended several months or even years post-bariatric surgery to ensure the body has stabilized from the initial weight loss.

What to Expect

The Body Lift procedure is intricate and can span anywhere from 3 to 6 hours, depending on the areas being addressed. Post-surgery, patients are ushered into a serene recovery environment, where a dedicated nursing team ensures comfort and closely monitors recovery milestones.

Why It’s Important

While bariatric surgery aids in shedding the weight, a Body Lift helps sculpt the body, removing sagging skin and refining contours. This procedure is pivotal in achieving a harmonious body silhouette, enhancing self-perception, and boosting confidence. It’s the bridge between weight loss and aesthetic refinement.

Tips for Success

The journey post a Body Lift is as crucial as the surgery itself. Here are some guidelines to ensure optimal results and a smooth recovery:

  • Adherence to post-operative care is paramount; always follow your surgeon’s directives.
  • Prioritize rest; this is a significant procedure, and your body requires ample healing time.
  • Compression garments are your allies; they aid in reducing swelling and contouring the body.
  • Stay hydrated and maintain a balanced diet to support the healing process.
  • Regularly consult with your surgeon for check-ups and to address any concerns.

Phase 3 Revision Surgery: Xtreme Weight Loss Solution

Overview

Revision Surgery is a specialized procedure aimed at addressing and rectifying any complications or suboptimal results from a prior surgical intervention. It’s a testament to our commitment at CER Bariatrics to ensure every patient achieves their desired outcome and enjoys a life of improved health and confidence.

What to Expect

Given its tailored nature, the duration of a Revision Surgery can vary, typically ranging from 2 to 5 hours. Following the procedure, patients are transitioned to a dedicated recovery suite, where our expert nursing team oversees the initial stages of healing, ensuring utmost comfort and care.

Why It’s Important

While initial surgeries often yield positive results, there are instances where the body’s response or unforeseen complications necessitate further intervention. Revision Surgery is crucial in these scenarios, ensuring that the patient’s journey towards optimal health and aesthetics isn’t hindered. It’s about refining, enhancing, and perfecting the surgical outcome.

Tips for Success

The post-operative phase of a Revision Surgery is pivotal. Here are some guidelines to ensure a smooth recovery and the best possible results:

  • Strictly adhere to the post-operative guidelines provided by your surgeon.
  • Prioritize rest; your body has undergone a significant procedure and needs time to recuperate.
  • Open communication is key; always relay any concerns or observations to your medical team.
  • Maintain a balanced diet and stay hydrated to support the body’s healing mechanisms.
  • Regular follow-ups with your surgeon will ensure that your recovery is on track and any concerns are promptly addressed.

PROCEDURE

Gastric Sleeve
What It Is:
The Gastric Sleeve procedure, also known as Sleeve Gastrectomy, is a surgical weight-loss technique that removes approximately 80% of the stomach, leaving behind a “sleeve”-like structure.

Why Choose Gastric Sleeve:
This procedure is ideal for those who struggle with portion control and are looking for a permanent solution to weight loss. It’s minimally invasive, has a shorter recovery time, and offers significant weight loss within the first year.

BMI Required:
Candidates typically have a BMI of 35 or higher.

Cost Transparency:
At CER Bariatrics, the price we quote is the price you pay. No hidden fees, no surprises. All pre-surgical tests and unforeseen medical costs are covered, ensuring a smooth journey towards a healthier you.

PROCEDURE

Duodenal Switch
What It Is:
The Duodenal Switch, formally known as Biliopancreatic Diversion with Duodenal Switch (BPD/DS), is a complex weight-loss surgery that combines elements of both gastric sleeve and gastric bypass. It reduces the size of the stomach and reroutes a portion of the small intestine.

Why Choose Duodenal Switch:
This procedure is highly effective for those with severe obesity and related health conditions like diabetes. It offers both restrictive and malabsorptive benefits, leading to substantial and long-lasting weight loss. However, it’s crucial to note that this procedure requires a lifelong commitment to specific dietary and nutritional guidelines.

BMI Required:
Ideal for those with a BMI of 40 or above, or 35 with comorbidities.

Cost Transparency:
Consistency is our promise at CER Bariatrics. The quoted price for your Duodenal Switch procedure is comprehensive, covering all pre-surgical tests and any unexpected medical expenses. No hidden fees, no financial surprises—just transparent healthcare.

PROCEDURE

Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass
What It Is:
The Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass is one of the most well-known weight-loss surgeries. It involves creating a small pouch from the stomach and connecting it directly to the small intestine, bypassing a large part of the stomach and a segment of the small intestine.

Why Choose Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass:
This procedure is particularly effective for individuals with Type 2 diabetes or severe obesity. It offers both restriction and malabsorption, leading to significant weight loss and improvement in comorbid conditions. It’s a tried-and-true method with long-term success rates.

BMI Required:
Recommended for individuals with a BMI of 40 or higher, or 35 with associated health conditions.

Cost Transparency:
At CER Bariatrics, we believe in full financial transparency. The price you’re quoted for the Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass includes all pre-surgical assessments and any unforeseen medical costs. No hidden charges, no last-minute surprises—just straightforward, honest healthcare.

PROCEDURE

Gastric Balloon
What It Is:
The Gastric Balloon is a non-surgical weight-loss option that involves placing an inflatable silicone balloon into the stomach. This balloon takes up space, helping you feel full faster and reducing the amount you eat.

Why Choose Gastric Balloon:
Ideal for those who are hesitant about surgical options or have a lower BMI, the Gastric Balloon offers a temporary yet effective solution for weight loss. It’s inserted endoscopically and can be removed after six months, making it a less invasive choice with minimal downtime.

BMI Required:
Suitable for individuals with a BMI between 30 and 40.

Cost Transparency:
Your financial well-being is as important to us as your physical health. At CER Bariatrics, the quoted price for the Gastric Balloon procedure is all-inclusive, covering any pre-surgical tests and unexpected medical costs. No hidden fees, no surprises—just transparent, ethical healthcare.

PROCEDURE

Mini Gastric Bypass
What It Is:
The Mini Gastric Bypass is a simplified, yet highly effective, version of the traditional gastric bypass. It involves creating a smaller stomach pouch and rerouting the small intestine, but with fewer anastomoses (connections), making it less complex.

Why Choose Mini Gastric Bypass:
This procedure is ideal for those who seek the benefits of a gastric bypass but desire a shorter operating time and recovery period. It offers significant weight loss and improvement in obesity-related conditions, all with less surgical complexity.

BMI Required:
Candidates generally have a BMI of 35 or higher.

Cost Transparency:
At CER Bariatrics, what you see is what you get. The price quoted for the Mini Gastric Bypass is your all-inclusive ticket to a healthier life, covering all pre-surgical tests and any unexpected medical costs. No hidden fees, no unwelcome surprises—just straightforward, transparent healthcare.

PROCEDURE

Lap Band Revision Surgery
What It Is:
Lap Band Revision Surgery is a secondary procedure that adjusts, replaces, or removes a previously implanted laparoscopic adjustable gastric band. This surgery aims to address complications or inadequate weight loss results from the initial Lap Band surgery.

Why Choose Lap Band Revision Surgery:
If you’ve experienced issues such as band slippage, erosion, or insufficient weight loss with your initial Lap Band, this procedure offers a corrective path. It’s tailored to your specific needs, whether that means adjusting the band or converting to a different bariatric procedure altogether.

BMI Required:
Applicable for those who had a previous Lap Band with a BMI of 35 or higher.

Cost Transparency:
Your trust is our priority at CER Bariatrics. The price quoted for Lap Band Revision Surgery is all-encompassing, covering all pre-surgical evaluations and any unforeseen medical costs. No hidden fees, no unexpected charges—just transparent, patient-focused healthcare.

What It Is:

This revision aims to enhance weight loss outcomes by lengthening the bypassed segment of the small intestine and removing part of the stomach.

Why Choose RYGB Revision:
If you’ve had a Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass but are experiencing weight regain or insufficient weight loss, this revision surgery offers a tailored solution. It’s designed to optimize your weight loss journey by making adjustments to the original procedure, ensuring long-term success.

BMI Required:
Intended for previous RYGB patients with a BMI of 35 or higher who have experienced weight regain.

Cost Transparency:
